I offer a free 15-minute introductory call. I will give you a call at the agreed time so we can talk about what has brought you to therapy, any previous experience of counselling, and what you might hope for from our work, if you know.
This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. There is no expectation to have everything figured out, and no obligation to continue. You can take some time to consider whether working together feels right for you.
Before getting in touch, you may wish to read my Privacy Policy, which explains how I handle your personal information.
If we decide to work together, we will arrange a suitable time for your first session.
In our first session, we will explore what you would like to get from therapy and agree how we will work together.
Your safety is important to me, so we will also go through our working agreement: a shared guide to help create a safe, confidential and protected space. This is a living document, which we can return to and build on over time.
Sessions last 50 minutes and can take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on your needs. I offer both short-term and longer-term counselling.
I work in an open-ended way, meaning you are not tied to a set number of sessions. However, I usually recommend beginning with at least six sessions. This gives us time to build a therapeutic relationship and review how the work is going.
Some people work with me for years, while others find that a smaller number of sessions is what they need. Everyone is different, and we can talk about this together throughout our work.
In-person sessions take place near Ealing Broadway.
A limited number of concessionary-rate spaces are available for Hong Kong immigrants and young adults aged 18–25. Please get in touch to ask about availability.
Fees are reviewed periodically. Any fee increases will not be applied to current clients.
My current availability is Monday to Friday afternoons and evenings, with some Saturday morning appointments available.
I understand that study, work and caring responsibilities can make finding a regular time difficult. Where possible, I will aim to be flexible with session times.
Therapy can be an investment in your emotional wellbeing and personal growth, but I also recognise that it can be a financial commitment. If you have questions about session frequency, duration or the financial side of therapy, we can discuss this during the introductory call or at any point during our work together.

I understand that things happen in life and plans can change. I require at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel a session.
If you need to cancel within 24 hours' notice, we can arrange another session within a reasonable timeframe and there will be no cancellation charge.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session will be charged at the full session fee.
